Mahapanchagavya Ghritam is an Ayurvedic medicine in the form of melted butter with herbs. This medicine is based on ghee butter. Plants broth is combined with ghee, then a solid waste of herbal raw materials are filtered out. Thus, this vegetable oil contains fat-soluble and water-soluble phyto-active substances of medicinal herbs. Used for the preparatory procedure for Panchakarma, as well as a medicine for the treatment of fever, epilepsy, fistula, inflammation, haemorrhoids, liver disease, anaemia, cough and psychiatric conditions.

Instructions for use:

  • As a medicine – from a quarter to half a teaspoon with water, usually before meals, once or twice a day or as directed by an Ayurvedic doctor.
  • For children over 3 years old – up to 5 g.
  • To prepare for the Panchakarma (Snehana procedure) procedure – the dose depends on the state of the disease and the conclusion of the Ayurvedic doctor.
  • No side effects were found. However, it is best to use this product under the supervision of a physician. Self-medication with this medicine is not recommended.
  • People with diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease and high blood pressure should be careful.
  • At a very high dose, it can cause diarrhea and indigestion.

  • Triphala – Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) Amla (Emblica officinalis)
