How to restore your body It’s no secret that the New Year holidays are weeks of unbalanced nutrition, as well as a sedentary lifestyle. Watching Christmas movies on the couch with sandwiches and Olivier salad in an embrace is a familiar picture to all of us. Unfortunately, later we have to admit to ourselves that although such vacations have a positive effect on our mood and mental health, they negatively affect the health of our body, and, as a result, our general well-being worsens.
Excessive eating on New Year’s holidays, combined with minimal physical activity, overloads our lymphatic system with toxins, which can cause problems such as swelling of the face and / or limbs, bad mood, and fatigue. You may also feel unwell and weak even when you are not too stressed. To make it easier for you to enter the work rhythm of the new 2021, we have written for you some really simple and useful tips, the observance of which will help you to quickly restore the body after the holiday feasts. And we recommend starting with accelerating detoxification.
What we should remove from the diet so that your body says”thank you”
First of all, when it comes to the daily diet, we will recommend you exclude fried and spicy food, various smoked food, as well as too salty or sweet food. And, of course, alcoholic drinks! You can speed up your metabolism with a simple daily action – replacing your usual coffee, as well as black tea, with ‘rich in antioxidants’ green tea.
And for the best effect, be sure to periodically add ginger and / or cinnamon to it. Ginger can be used both fresh, chopping it into small strips or chopping it with a grater, or as a dry spice powder. Various herbal drinks from medicinal herbs such as chamomile, rose hip, dandelion, St. John’s wort or mint with the addition of lemon and honey will help you quickly restore the balance of vitamins and minerals in your body.
Not only drinks are able to speed up our metabolism. There are also healthy food that are equally effective in removing toxins from the body. This is, for example, cereals such as oat and buckwheat, rice and wheat.
And also vegetables: beets, cabbage, celery, carrots. And fruits of course – lemon, grapefruit, apples, pineapple and kiwi. In addition to green tea with herbs, toxins are excellently eliminated from the body by low-fat dairy products, fruit compotes, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, nuts and seeds, sesame oil and many other products.
We also recommend that you arrange at least one fasting day. Its essence lies in the fact that you try to move more or less actively throughout the day, while consuming a very small amount of food. It will be great if these products will food and drinks from the above. You can also arrange such fasting days on porridge, kefir, apples or cottage cheese only. The main thing is not to overdo it and always listen to your feelings. If there are contraindications, it is best to consult with your doctor first.
And don’t forget about the most important thing – water!
It’s no secret that we must consume enough water per day for normal body functioning. But what kind of water is better to drink, you ask? Scientists agreed that non-carbonated purified drinking water should be preferred. The required daily rate is 1.5-2 liters per day, depending on body weight and the amount of physical activity. Start every morning with a glass of warm water and your body will thank you.
In order to cleanse the lymph, we suggest you prepare a drink according to the following recipe and drink it 15-20 minutes before each meal. So, pour warm water into a blender, add washed and peeled ginger, a small bunch of parsley, mix everything, and then add the juice of freshly squeezed lemon and mix again. Filter the drink and take it every morning on an empty stomach, as well as throughout the day before meals.
Another option for a drainage drink can be brewed tea made from currant leaves and strawberries. You can use both fresh and dry leaves, as well as berries. All this is poured with boiling water and infused. You can drink it 3 times a day before meals.
And the last option, but no less effective. During the day, you can drink water with the addition of chlorophyll (stir 1 teaspoon of chlorophyll in a glass of water), since the abundance of oxygen in the tissues caused by its intake into the body helps to get rid of harmful impurities and toxins.
What about vitamins?
There is a list of vitamins that improve liver function. First of all, these include vitamins A and E, which are capable of regenerating destroyed liver cells. But it is better to take them in combination therapy with vitamin C and B vitamins, since they accelerate the body’s metabolism and contribute to blood thinning, as well as vasodilation.
Remember the importance of physical activity!
An effective first aid to the body after prolonged feasts is physical activity. It stimulates our mental activity and gives us energy, strength and vigor. Do not just forget that it is better to start with small loads, and always in conjunction with proper nutrition. For start, activities such as a easy walk in the fresh air, morning exercises, jogging at a relaxed pace, or going to the pool are great.
Restoring sleep mode
If you disrupt your sleep and wakefulness, than your concentration of attention immediately decreases, metabolism slows down, irritability and rapid fatigability appear. To restore the body, experts advise to go to bed before midnight, and it is better to wake up at the same time. Before going to bed, it is better to ventilate the room, you can also take a hot bath with added salt, which will help remove toxins and cleanse the body. And for a more complete relaxation and purification, it is good to add a few drops of aromatic oil (for example, lavender, eucalyptus, cedar, chamomile or peppermint oil) to the water.
Distribution of working time for the benefit of the body
After a long rest, our brains also need recovery and a smooth transition to a working rhythm. To return to an active workflow without undue stress for the body, it is necessary to intelligently distribute work tasks throughout the day. You should start working gradually. It is better to start working days with the most simple and familiar tasks, and leave those tasks that require increased concentration for the next days.
You should agree that everyone can easily implement such simple and affordable methods! We hope that our tips will help you regain strength, health and beauty in the shortest possible time. Be healthy and happy!
