Vetiver oil is obtained from the roots of a plant, which in India is called “Khus Khus”. It has been known since antiquity: its roots were kept in the house for flavor, and the decoction was impregnated with clothes and curtains on the windows, which created a favorable balanced atmosphere in the house. In Tibetan medicine, vetiver is used for wheezing, coughing, and also during “seasickness”.
